    Flamin' Petrol Ripoff

I needed to fuel up the County tonight ready for the weekend. As I was coming home I noticed that the petrol was about 116.9¢ for unleaded. As I got nearer to home I saw that Woolworths had it 97.9¢ (with discount).

I was in the wrong lane to get to the servo so I went around the block. When I got back it was up to 116.9¢ per litre..

something is wrong here....they couldnt have just put it up by 20c a litre in a matter of minutes......they probably stuffed up and put 97 by mistake.

dont stress...its upto 109-116 most places.

Actually, I went a bit further down the road to check the next Woolies Petrol Plus and found it was showing 97.9 discounted and 116.9 full price on the indicator board, so I whipped in and fuelled up there. When I drove out, it was showing the newer price.

Another Woolies I'd passed earlier had 97.9 also but all the other brands were showing 116.9 or higher. Woolies still LPG at 37.9 (pre-discount) whilst the local Shell had it at 49.9

    what does it all mean?

they also sell coca cola cheaper than i can get it direct from amatil.
do you suppose there is discounts in bulk purchasing on fuel as well?
they are trapping the market with their shopa-dockets.

Time to get a nice thrifty diesel!

Just got 720km out of 65 litres, and that with lots of gear on board.

116.9 c per ltire thats bloody cheap
It is $2.27 a litre here (UK) for diesel, and 90% of that is tax to the goverment
Cost $187 to fill a rangie with fuel, and they still go though it here as fast as they do over there.
