Rubber floor mats from LR - $435 a set !!

What's so special about the factory rubber mats for a D3 that can justify a $400+ price tag?

Is it the Land Rover name moulded on the mats :?: or is it that the mats will fit nicely into the foot wells and anchor to the floor :?: or is it that rubber is expensive :?: or is it that its a D3 :?:

I think I'll be looking at the 4WD shops for an alternative

What do you think is a reasonable price to pay for decent set of rubber mats to fit the first & second row - $100 to $150?

if they are like the previous Genuine rubber mats they are really worth the money if you intend going off road.

the rubber mats in the previous versions were fully tailored and locked / meshed together very efficiently - so they don't run around the floor space like the after market ones.

I would really recommend them, as I have also tried to buy generic ones and they were always disappearing somewhere under the peddles (Dangerous).

IMHO - go the Genuine ones.

I have LR ones in the Defender and while they are really good, I don't think they are worth the money.

Go to Clark Rubber and get some for a fraction of the price. As long as they are thick, heavy and have a lip on them they will be fine. The weight of the rubber stops them running around and the lip keeps all the mud and crap from spilling over into teh rest of the car.

I home the D3 rubber mats last longer than the 'good old British rubber' they used in the D1 window seals. LOL for that price.
