    Nice rain in Vic

Been a bit today, more to come.

Will lessen the wildfire risk for quite a while. Suits what I'm doing and I hope it doesn't disadvantage anyone too much!

Yeah we got the full package as the front moved in. Rain, lightning, thunder and heavy downpour. Had one bolt of lightning fairly close to the house. Great crack of thunder immediately after the lightning, whole house shook.

There were about 6 fires locally when the lightening strikes started, lucky they did not cause bush fires

Rain was nice, but the humidity afterward wasn't neither was the six hours without power!

They said it would be back on at 7.30, it eventually came back on at 9.35. :-(

Hope no one was adversely affected by the storms.

Would love some rain over here.Just spent 6 days in the grader at the Boddington fire,50km from here.
Its "SAFE" at the moment, would love to see a downpour over the firegrounds to ensure it is safe!!!

Yep. South Australians wouldn't know what rain was.
Sitting in Sydney at the moment. What would be considered a light shower here is considered a downpour in Western Vic.

    Hey Mick,

    we know what rain is....

It was shown on the tele just the other day..... (from Queensland)

I have howevere located the reason for the lack of rain.....

Hey, Digger, you're right. That extra hour of daylight is evaporating the moisture out of the atmosphere.
