Few weeks ago I came a gutsa in the kitchen.
Top turned right, bottom turned left.
Kapow.
I think I cracked another vertibrae, I cracked two others over the years.
Should repair in about six weeks if I am careful, keep the back straight and dont bend at the waist etc..
I was strapped into my genuine RM Williams belt but it was not wide enough and uncomfortable over night.
So I dragged myself into town on Saturday morning and purchased a Thermoskin corset.
Gosh.
I call it Nancy because it gives good hugs ( I like hugs ) and I can feel it doing me.
Careful with the corsets if you use them all the time the muscles become week and your back will do not have support.
I have a corset with steel flat bars at the back and cannot use them for to long.
Get well soon
No I havent been to the Doctor as I can take care of it.
Corset thingy for the moment is a precaution to support the lower spine while it mends.
In a couple of weeks I will leave it off when I go to bed.
About that time I will start some light exercises to get the muscles upto scratch again.
Easy stages and let it heal.
At the moment I hold onto a no.1 golf driver ( which is the longest club in me bag ) to lift and lower myself on chairs and bed.
It helps to take the strain of the lower spine and back.
This I will also start to use less often as time goes on.
With these precautions I can feel it all slowly getting better.
Yea.
I ordered a couple of little rubber gismo's that fit on the handle of me putter so I wont have to bend as often.
A golf ball pikeruppa thingy.
Might even bang a bit of wire into a broom handle as a soap pikeruppa.
Old Farts ( read us ) need to find a way around it to stop unnecessary wear and tear.
Cheers.
PS: with the soap pikeruppa it would probably be a winner sold on Ebay.
It could come in three colours, pink, blue and a pink and blue barbour pole jobby.
