You don't need a torque wrench for this. Just do them up tight.
So putting a new head on the Defender I found that I needed to get another torque wrench, one that goes down to 5NM for 5 nuts. So the only one I could find was obviously 1/4 drive. So on putting the rocker bar back on I realised all my 1/4 drive sockets would not fit over the 3 of the rocker shaft bolts...... Shops are closed..... Ok what can I do now that I have bought a new torque wrench for essentially only 2 bolts now instead of the 5.... Can't get a new deep socket so.... Dodgy improv torque wrench to the rescue! So I tested on some other bolts as I thought the longer lever arm would throw it way out but not too far off :-)

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Yes cheers Dave. I was just trying to follow rave completely as I am fairly new to internal engine mechanics and I have a bad habit of skipping things that I see as being unnecessary.... So as this is unfamiliar ground l thought I better not skip
