amazing film from a USN Phot., WW2

Camera Footage of Kamikaze Attack in 1945
About the best naval footage ever shot by a Navy cameraman. The camera was in the gun turret under attack.
Amazing! The USS Laffey, "the ship that would not die," was hit by 6 Kamikazes and 4 bombs, but remained afloat after an 80 minute battle that included 22 Kamikaze attacks.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Their damage control must have been spot on, having instructed in that field whilst in the RAN, 6 Kamakazis, 4 bombs..... a top effort. I must find that book myself, it should be compulsory reading for RAN ships companies, I reckon. Bob

    Interesting diagram, Bob

Diagram of Air Attack on Laffey

The above overhead diagram shows the path of 22 Japanese planes that attacked the American destroyer Laffey on April 16, 1945
