aces, vlads and ferno's it makes no difference to me. if i could turn post counts off i would have done so years ago..

some of the posts are bordering on personal attacks and i will fall like a ton of bricks on the ones that eventually push me too far, am a patient man but ......

personally i am sick of hearing about post counts, and reading drivel posts posted for the sake of posting but i only host the place and try to keep it sustainable. it is what the users make it. i am getting more and more complaints about how much trash you have to sift thru to get info, which is fair enough from one angle, but a bit rough on the other.. as johnny cash used to say... i walk the line...

i have a certain amount of bandwidth and a certain amount of hardware to keep this going and i do what i need to do to keep it functional. trips and schedules is being reorganised so it is usable and manageable, important info is being kept and posts not important to the threads removed, sorry if it affects post counts but it really needs organising...

I have been a member of this site for 473 Days

I have managed 384 Posts in that time.

That is 0.811839 Posts per day average.


I need another 5616 to get to 6000.



At my current rate...... I 'll get there in April 2024 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Hey Inc... I must admit the thought had crossed my mind that there must be a fair amount of dribble using up your bandwidth. ( I guess that's the network manager in me thinking)

Maybe we need to stress more that the "chat" element of the site - banter between posters and none LR or trip related stuff should ONLY be here in general - and where possible encourage people to use IRC more for that sort of thing?

Might help with the bandwidth a little and certainly help keep the more serious areas of the forum clear of junk.

I must admit I have put frivolous comments on plenty of posts - I guess that is just the joker in me - I think at times it helps give this place a special character - but have to agree the excessive posting for the sake of it - and the odd personal attack can't do the place any good....

Do what you have to do chief.... I'm sure most of us would fully support that..

I am here. As i have said before, post counts are fun, but not why I am here. Pedro had to point out to me in the sneaky ace thread that I had passed vlad, i didnt even notice. I dont post anything for the sake of making a post count, i join in all the fun where ever i can and joke around, thats who i am, if you dont like it tough bickies. I am nothing less than serious in the tech thread because thats the place to be serious, if some one posts a thread on the general forum and needs some info, they get it. Now can we get over all this bull**** and have fun.

I dont care how far the next level is, it will get here eventually. Please dont suggest i make posts for the sole purpose of increasing my post count, whilst we have all done it at one time or another, most of my posts are made with out this in mind. Matt

It is all about being involved and contributing.

If you look back a couple of years there were very few. Now there are many.

Some are still involved and contributing.
