There is always a silver lining, banana prawns are being caught out the front of Nudgee , people are catching the limit very quickly. Good size, as well. Flathead at the mouth of creeks & rivers are prolific. After this lot of rain, it will get even better. Should be a bumper bream season, this year. Nature, just go with the flow. L.G.! Bob

Son and daughter in law spent 3 hours stuck on the motorway in the Caboolture area last night. In the end they gave up going to Inskip and went to his sister's in Maleny instead. Forecast is more rain.

Didn't it change a few years ago? To something like "on fire one day, under water the next!".

And bob when it's underwater, like any other place, the poo flows.:-D

    Sewage Pumping Stations

So, first point, no where here has been under water recently. Second point, if there are no " sewage farms" in the area, where does it come from. Thirdly, what's going on in your world , where any positive comment is attacked by such negative thoughts? I've been prawning out the front for years, no problems. Having said that, I must admit the cabbage tree creek has had some bad reports on water quality, over the years. We don't fish in the upper reaches of the creek. And the water quality is improving, each year. Sheeesh, you guys...... attack some one else, there are [plenty of other targets. Bob

Don't kid yourself. I once worked for seq water and wastewater authorities. Even most of the new sewers leak and let rainwater in during events like this, which causes the manholes to pop.

Re your other question - a long distance from the sewage plant is often worse. Every sewer system has lots of manholes and/or valves which are designed to open if the sewer fills up.
