As Newnes is in a valley and I am obviously at a considerable elevation, then I guess that "Above Newnes" is correct. However, it is almost 20kms from Newnes which is another reason that I could only award your answer a 3 out of 10, well done though for picking the general area so quickly.

I was seeking a more specific location as this area is fairly well known and does have a name that appears on good topo and google maps.

I'll let it run for a little longer and see what comes up.

I did give austastar a 3 out of 10 Greg but but that's an area of more than 1200sq kms with numerous unique features, so I don't think it's too unreasonable to request greater accuracy. :D

Hi,
I'm happy with a 3, it was a shot in the dark.
I have been through the area (in the valley floor) and it looked like the escarpments around the Gardens of Stone Nat Park.
