Sounds like time for some more clues..... obviously easier if you were there taking the photo it seems :D
It would be west of Alice Springs, but east of WA.
I am parked at a lookout looking at the area in the distance..

This place in not that remote....it is visible from a well known NT tourist drive.
I suspect many on AULRO that have visited the Alice will have driven it.
