GM is an unnatural way to manipulate genes to achieve an outcome.
Breeding cows with a natural created genetic mutation it is not.
Putting it more clear with the help of google :D
A genetically modified organism (GMO) is any organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques.
Humans are the only animal which insist on feeding it's young - as well as themselves - on the milk of other creatures, in preference to it's own.
Tell me again about 'Evolution' and 'intelligence'.
Mmmmmm....
Yes, Jersey milk. Nice stuff.
Eevo, about 50km south of Adelaide there is a cheese factory.
Alexandrina Cheese Co, Fleurieu Peninsula South Australia
That is where you should be buying your milk from.
Oh, it is available in selected stores.
I thought it was just called selective breeding.
In the wild it happens naturally and is called natural selection in which only the strongest survive which breeds out so called undesirable characteristics. Eg only the tall giraffes survived coz they could reach the food.
It's been done a lot by intervention too, German Shepherd breeders only breed from dogs with a specific temperament.
Another example would be Adolph Hitler and his Aryan master race.
All this talk of milk, might have a hot chocolate milk, personally I like Activite, or Bournville Cocoa, Milo too, I drink full cream milk, the local COOP when we lived in the bush, OAK when we lived in Newcastle(Belmont) and now Dairy Farmers(which is the what's available here, not really interested in all these fancy milks.
I've tried all sorts of natural milk, cow, goat, human, I'll stick to cows milk, and Ron, I used to love the delivered milk at school:D
Baz.
Can tell Ron wasn't a milk monitor, we always had cold milk:D
Our milk at primary was left out in the sun so it was hot and creamy. So a group of us started taking a small container of chocolate syrup and adding it to the milk. At least it made it palatable...that was until we were sprung and the practice was banned. Jim
When I was in primary school in Albury, our teacher used to pour all the milk into a pot and heat it up in the classroom fireplace (can you imagine one of those today!) then added chocolate powder for a hot choc drink. Funny what one remembers from over 60 years ago.
Hi Ron , A few years ago my uncle had to have Heart Bypass , anyway his Surgeon who was a Kiwi said to him afterwards , You were a milk kid? So my uncle asked him what do you mean ? The Surgeon said when we went through your rib cage your bones were so strong and hard . From that I could tell you had milk as a child . So uncles asked does It make that much difference ? My word It does we can always tell the difference between those that grew up drinking milk , and those that don't . People that have had lots of milk have stronger bones apparently !!.. Jim...
