Those memories from over sixty year ago are the ones I cherish the most.

When I was about six a mate Leo and I were over collecting mushrooms.

Janet who was the same age as me came across the paddock to say hello and give us a hand.

Leo was a couple of years older than me and new more about stuff because he was almost an adult.

Anyway he talked Janet out of her panties so she could pee and we watch.
I was fascinated, I had never seen anything like that in my life.
I had no idea that girls were so interesting.

At six in my first year at Horsley Park primary I was in love with cute little Judy Honeyman, I asked her to pee for me but she sadly declined.
So I then switched my love to pretty Margaret Davis.

Ah the wonder of it all.

we do lots of things different

My partner and I did a blind tasting of a range of milk about a year ago.
The a2 was up there for taste, but when we weighed up the cost of our favorite versus second place (woolworths $2 special), we ended up sticking to the cheap stuff.
I don't drink gallons of the stuff, mainly just a bit in coffee and cereal each day. If I were averse to the proteins etc, it might be a different story though.

Milk always smells off to me, even if it's not.

I would never buy that cheap milk and assist to put the Dairy Farmers out of business or contribute to a monopoly or imported stuff.

Stuff I buy is about 4.50 a jug.

I watched about 30 secs of that.

I prefer to judge by what has been said and reported over the years in all the media.
We had Dairy Farms in our area once.

Prices paid per litre to the Farmer and that sort of thing.

In a lot of cases money offered by ****bags would not cover cost of production etc.

Many Farms closed and in some cases the poor buggers topped themselves.

But as city dwellers we know that that sort of thing is untrue and the people on the land like to cry poor mouth and winge, eh.

Was it Keating who deregulated ?
I wonder how much money changed hands along the way to the multi nationals ( as always ) getting what they wanted.

Anyway, I wont tell anyone what they should buy, I speak for myself only.

None of what you said alters the fact that if you buy the more expensive milk in Coles and Woolworths, you are doing nothing to help Australian dairy farmers.

Yes I realise all of that.

I havent watched all of the video yet because I have been otherwise occupied.
But what happens to the product after it leaves the farm gate doesn't concern me in this issue.

It should concern everyone, I can understand pensioners and battlers wanting to buy the cheapest possible because its not about greed but survival.

How about the others tho ?

Does the majority ask themselves how milk can be produced and marketed for a dollar a litre, after all of the production cost, transport, bottling, handling and distribution etc.

Does nobody listen or even know or care that the Farmer is being screwed and put out of business.
Is anyone else along the chain being put out of business or loosing their livelyhood to get it to the shelf so cheaply.
Will there come a time when we will have to import our milk from trading partners or this already happening with farms and stuff being bought by china and others.

I might be out of date, perhaps there is no place anymore for the family farm.
God help us if that is the case.

I liked when we were simply a weird mob.

I wont buy that dollar milk from scummies or moles on principal, that maybe foolish or stupid and I might just be lining someones pocket.
A personal protest in my own way is all that I can contribute.

But I believe in a fair go and alot of folks nowadays are being let down.

By the way with my thoughts here i was not making personel attacks on Forum members, thats not what I do.
