There has been rumours abound for a while. and certainly 90 and 130 vehciles are only coming in on order, but AFAIK 110 vehicles still were.

As for tooling up for a new vehicle, more likeley the re engined version of the current defender, the new defender isn't due out for a few years yet.

No Defenders?

Hi Nutgrass. When I bought mine 2 years ago there were several country supliers around to get prices from apart from Barbagallos in Osborne Park or Cannington.
The best price I could get was from Ratten and Slater in Esperance but I believe they are no longer dealers for LR. The same with the Bunbury outlet.
You might try Sun City Autos (I think) in Geraldton or ring Russel Booth at ARB in Osborne (9244 3553) to see who he knows.
Goos luck.
Alan.

I think you've been mis-informed. To the best of my knowledge, 110 wagons are freely available. We picked ours up only a couple of weeks back.

It doesn't make sense, either. They just moved the production line to the UK, why would you do that, and then shut the line?

Heard a nasty rumour that the Defender might be re-engined with the Ford Transit lump which has less power/torque than the Td5.

If they bring it out with the V6 I'll probably buy one but not if they are going backwards.

I heard those same rumours, not nice eh!

The only engine i'd seriously think about would be a TDV6, although depending on what the price of diesel hits, and how good a petrol engine is i'd consider it, but well, we'll see what happens eh!

I would seriously consider the V8, but what're the chances?
