Snatch straps
Has anyone ever used one of these snatch straps? Are they any good?
From the publicity the sound great. They are sold through ARB. feedback wanted. Thanks.

I ordered on DIRECT through the factory.
12 Tonne 10metre with steel thimbles. I will not tell you the price, but it was around half of what you quoted

Does not suggest you can order direct from that website but I guess they have to keep the distributors happy.
Is just me or can I see them using the eyelet on the front of the ARB bull bar (where a hi-lift jack point is bolted on) for the recovery in the photos.
Also it looks like they have just hooked it on to the rear bar of that Rangie

You cannot order directly though the web site, I rang them up after I emailed them. Nice people.
As for where it is hooked up to on the vehicles, I cannot answer that, as I do not know enough about those vehicles, but it looks like you are right.

It looks like good gear (2nd generation).
But it still brings us back to how it attaches to the vehicle.
In 6 years I have used my strap once in a relative easy recovery of another vehicle. A Suzuki Sierra: didn't know it was attached.
The snatch strap was attached securely to the tow bar.
I haven't been recovered by snatch strap yet but I worry about front recovery points on the Disco regardless of the strap used.

Hook up looks a bit dodgy.
Maybe the dent in the Rangies tailgate is from a previous attempt :?

its not hooked up to the rangie....its been super imposed on.....
have another look....also the strap is the only thing in focus.
if that was fitted to the bar it would have to have been done during manufacture....
