Hmmm.... Any chance of a PM with a couple of photos of the CT Disco & a note of the VIN number? That way we can update our club records....

I have no local knowledge. Perhaps some one there could ring 'em and see if they have grog or allow BYO. ALso any idea what night/s might be best.
Annalakshmi is a fantastic restaurant.
Great food, great view, nice people.

It's vegetarian, and even though I'm of the impression that if we weren't meant to eat animals they wouldn't taste like meat , I still love the food.
They leave it up to you to pay what you feel is fair for your meal, which is a kind of strange cocept to come to terms with..d.

No alcohol allowed on premises though.

I'm not home that much but wouldn't mind catching up for a drink if there's a get together somewhere .

Cheers
Ken

Bugger :!:

Well perhaps Mrs Vlad and I will go there one night, and we should have a few drinks somewhere else if possible.

We are staying at the Ibis hotel (did I say that already).

Anyone interested in a few drinks (and Imean in Perth, rather than in general) please PM me with thei contact phone number and real name. (I'd feel a bit silly on the phone asking for a 4bd1 - unless I was talking to a Landy wrecker).

Hi Vlad

I am not around on Saturday night as I am having a trip planning dinner for my July visit to Cape Leveque via the Pilbara. I have been on long trips with my companions before so we know who has what but planning is too much fun not to go over it again.

I'll keep monitoring this thread though to see if any other nights are beerable.

Not Barry Street, Barrack Square!! Ph ( 08 ) 9221 3003. Only a short walk from the Hotel Ibis.
I rang and had a chat with one one of the staff and was told its a temple resturant (??) No grog, buffet style, vegetarian, sit on the floor and as 4db1 says you pay what you think it was worth when you leave. Apparently it gets very busy so must be booked ahead of time

Still only a shortish walk from the Ibis at 1134 Hay Street is the Royal India, Licenced or BYO ($6.50 corkage) a bit more $$ Mains range from $10-$24. Meat is on the menu here..... I'm keen to try either place. Count me and Mrs TP in when you decide on the day.

There is a Pub almost across the road from the Ibis.
It's the Belgian Beer Cafe.

Easy for Mr & Mrs Vlad to find,
and well, if we are still going at closing time we can stroll over and raid the minibar.

Cheers

Hmmm I had it in my head Vlad was talking about this Saturday but now I can see no evidence of that.

The Belgian Beer Cafe is nice but **&&^^$$^^&(^%%$*) expensive. And I mean *&&^%%$%^&%$#&*(.

Got trolleyed there one night on Hoegaarden. $12 for a 500ml glass. THree years ago. Got my VISA statement some weeks later and nearly had to skip the country.

Nine Marys is a short walk from the Ibis. It has really nice food and is a bit hip. Also not super cheap but not hellishly exxy either if memory serves. It is the upmarket version of Chutney Marys on the corner of Rokeby and Hay. That is a favourite of mine.

And if you are in Freo, the Maya on South Terrave near the Cappa strip has one a heap of Gold Plates. That is really good and resonably priced.

I only mentioned Indian coz Mrs Vlad and I are going to try that temple place.

As far as drinks go anywhere close that has decent beer and nice meals (good pub food is fine) would be cool. You locals will know a place I;m sure.

The Belgian beer place sounds good but the expensive part doesn't so better choose somewhere else ?!

There is a Belgian Beer Cafe in every city.

I don't recall it being that expensive - and I was there last week (in Brisbane)

Maybe freight is added onto the Perth prices

The Moon and Six Pence is just down from Ibis, thats "within the budget".
Also, if you like Japanese, I reccomend Taka's kitchen on Shafto lane for a cheap meal (but filling!). Usually busy but nice and pub next door with guiness!
