I'd noticed the same thing.
Enjoy it while it lasts I suppose.
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed in the 4x4 mags the greater percentage of travel articles by freelance contributers are driving Defenders? Latest 4x4 monthly, Defender at Iron Ra. Latest OL, Defender on Ghan Railway and it goes on. Dont know why some of these mags good naturedly slag on them when there pages seem to be featuring more and more of them.

It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
gone
1993 Defender 110 ute "Doris"
1994 Range Rover Vogue LSE "The Luxo-Barge"
1994 Defender 130 HCPU "Rolly"
1996 Discovery 1
current
1995 Defender 130 HCPU and Suzuki GSX1400
And there always in some out of the way destination, not just at the local state forest or beach, we must have made the right choice.
Lots of load room, a great 4x4 for true 4x4 use, reliability and rugedness is probablly why they are weapon of choice. Now if LR did something about the seating position in relation to the doors and a better air con set up that does not take up most of the passenger footwell most of the other stuff like build quality could be over looked.
I see the camera vehicle for some u beaut test in the desert recently was a defender as well.
they complained about the aircon!!!
poor buggers
Its because we are superior.......
I heard...you know how it goes...from a mate who heard it from his missus' hairdresser's mechanic's butcher's dog......that one prominent mag's editor couldn't sing the praises of LR high enough privately, but in the mag was restricted in what he could say or allow as comments because the major advertiser was a company starting with "T"....makes you think....![]()

Did you see that totally awesome Hybrid with the Tojo donk and tranny.
I love the 100 inch defender. I want to build one but I don't have any time, money, welding ability, a spare RR or county, engineering skill or an understanding wife.
other than that it's a goer.
What a waste of what could have been a great car, its like puting a falcon motor in a ferrari.Originally posted by mrapocalypse
