Over here, you see many of them, in fact you will see three times more Defenders than Toyota Land Cruisers.

As some one said in a post earlier, they are a great 4X4 for true 4X4 use. That is why I bought one. (guess the kids will have to get used to the comfy seating ops: )

I hate 4X4s that have leather seats, carpet, and all the other mod cons you find in your lounge. (no offence ment to anyone just my opion) I want to be able to get in and not have to worry too much about my muddy boots, grubby clothes etc. Having said that I don't want it to look like a pig sty either!

It's because the Defender's sidewings on the bonnet are a great place to stand on!!!

Did you see that totally awesome Hybrid with the Tojo donk and tranny.

other than that it's a goer.
What a waste of what could have been a great car, its like puting a falcon motor in a ferrari.[/b][/quote]

I wonder why he didn't use the Isuzu 4BD1 or 4BD1-T (turbo) that LR themselves used? Maybe the Tojo was cheaper.

Note how the article made comment "Old Landie diehards will be turnong in their graves when they hear a Jap engine is taking pride of place where a Pommy heart should be." The writer obviously hasn'r heard of the Perentie and the Isuzu 4BD1.

I love the 100 inch defender. I want to build one but I don't have any time, money, welding ability, a spare RR or county, engineering skill or an understanding wife.
