Just taken me 5 hours to get to Caboolture and back to pick up number one son from work. I think every road must have been flooded, closed or at a standstill.

My little Suzuki van went through all the deep puddles no problem, I even passed Mr Robinson in one flood, he was stationery with engine problems

Well,Bribie Island Road must be open as there is a heap of traffic going past our place, including a Bribie Island bus,at 10.45 pm,considering the last bus from Caboolture is usually 7.30 pm, just goes to show how late some workers will be getting home,at least it is a Friday,so most won't have to work tomorrow,I'm off to bed now, reset all the clocks including the microwave,as we lost power at the height of the storm,so you S/E Qld folk check your clocks

    cheers

S.W.M.B.O. left work at 3pm, just got home. We tend to forget Brisbane was built on a swamp. Bob

I was to get an early mark today, seven am start , do a series of drops in the not so sunny coast then home. It took over nine hours to get back from Cooroy. Early mark has been a double shift and some. It will be interesting submitting this time sheet !

We must have been very lucky today, left Albany Creek round 2pm going to MR Auto at Redcliffe to collect the next round of parts, then home having done some sight seeing along the waters edge to the Western Suburbs of Brisbane by 4.45pm. We must have just snuck through before it all went nuts. It was absolutely bucketing down, parts of the Deagon Deviation were already starting to flood, down to single lane in both directions.

Was glad to be in the Rangie

Our neighbour says it was worse than the 1974 floods here. The road was a river, allsorts of flotsam & jetsam floating down. We have a collection of wheelie bins. Currently on the phone to the insurance company, lines are very busy, Bob

My sympathies to all those affected, especially those who lost loved ones.

After a damp March 2000 mm, last week was relatively dry 100 mm,
but to make up for it,
