Agree with all you say, except if you've smoked 25 a day for 45 years the excise paid would well and truly cover the cost of 'treatment' and a funeral and wake to boot.

There is no excise on products that are demonstrably equally unhealthy that cause diseases that dearly cost the wider community.

I'd be finding another insurance company if I were you. If I have an accident that is my fault is the main reason I have insurance.

If you are not at fault you only need insurance if the other bloke has none and he has no money/assets.
