    LOL I've owned Toyotas...........
    They have their uses.

When it came to comparisons though I always found it funny that the Nissan owners (Not wanting to leave anyone out here) suddenly become strangely silent.

Of the Land Rover range my favorites are most definitely the Rangie Classic and then the D I and II with a special soft spot for the S IIa Landy.

Jeep's seem ok as commuters and I hope that Fiat's input has improved them but the proof is in the pudding and the 2nd hand resale prices at this moment.

I was only having a crap hanging session here on AULRO and pointing out what I was told and shown. I do not indulge in hanging it on Jeep or any 4WD owners vehicle.

Oh I don't know, some people bring it on themselves
Was more a general comment than in reference to anyone in particular

As a current jeep owner the digs at jeep owners are pretty lighthearted. Trust me I've read jeep forums and making any claim that something might be better than a jeep wrangler can quite often be met with vitriolic abuse. They are incredibly one eyed. Go ahead and Google "jeep vs" to look at YouTube clips and just read the abusive comments that flow. It's ridiculous. A lot of people's self worth seems to be tied up with what they drive and criticism is taken quite personally.

with all modern vehicles the complexity is beginning to cause major issues...think airbag debacle...possible 8 million vehicles affected. I will admit to recently contemplate buying a 9yr old MB ML 320CDI 85k km on the clock, air suspension and the off-road pro-package. but NO spare wheel... I doubt it had ever been off road. The 320CDI hauls like a freight train and the 7 sp auto is terrific. But the complexity was mind boggling. However what really stopped the deal was the lack of DIY info on members' forums. Nothing like the detailed information available here or on rr.net etc. We are fortunate indeed.
    cheers

You're still on your green Ps, I've had a dozen Swedish Valiants.
