i took a different approach and used Today Tonights 'suggest a storry" button... then gave them a slight earfull while reminding them that they were only picking the parts of studys that suited their story.

Told them they should run a pro-4wd story for once as it is becoming blatantly obvious that they don't use stats on people movers or vans... and reminded them that they ran a poll a month before hand that only had 37% of people say 4wd should be banned from citys.

Then to really rub it in, i checked the stats on the aami survey they were quoting from that showed a Diahatsu Charade had 1/5 star reversing visibility while a Pajero had a 4.5/5 star reversing visibility but we won't mention the D3 which only got a 2 i think 8O

Now to go and dream that they actually read it and take notice 8O

Ahh!

We could also complain how Naomi Robson was ****** and ****** about the teleprompter and ask why did it go to air to offend our sensibilities.

dont get me wrong i do feel for the kids

but its not the 4wd fault if some kid runs onto the road in front of you
just to set the record straight on that one Ray, the people drive into a carpark to drop the kids off within the school grounds, the father had dropped the girl off and she headed off through the carpark walking in front of the patrol. the woman, i assume, was watching her own kid wander in and didn't see the kid walk in front of her car, looked in front for a split second (as these mums do) and took off, mowing down the kid.
if she'd taken another 30seconds to make sure the coast was clear, that kid would probably still be alive.

G'day All,
This is kind of a sore point with me, my son's school[he's 10]has a rule of no public vehicles in schoolgrounds, only at the pick up/drop off point in the street. People ALWAYS drive in the school grounds, in all sorts of vehicles, and on the rare occasions I'm there in the morning and afternoon I see them. Too damn LAZY to walk half a block to the school, the Principle needs to use his authority and tell em to stay the hell out! Some of these morons are so arrogant, they don"t give a rat's about the dangers involved and why they shouldn't be in there in the first place. I swear, I've been tempted to drag 'em through the window and knock some sense into 'em!!
Most of these dills also speed as well. Anway, two words sum up the cause of 'accidents'............bad driving.
I feel better now
Cheers Scott.

Its all crap, It doesnt matter what vehicle it is, they all become weapons used for carnage and mayhem around schools. I refuse to drive near a school between pick up times as I fear for my life. I used to go past the school in Kenmore on a regular basis and I would see mothers with their child blinkers on, as soon as they were in the car it did not matter what the hell they did. They would just put the pedal to the metal, straight through red lights where children were crossing and they would even pull out in front of trucks.

It has nothing to do with the vehicle, its the phsyco behind the wheel

P.S. A few moon ago that moron Dick Johnson was booked doing 95km/h through a 40kmh school zone while the kids were all comming out. My mates niece booked him
