Over here the only thing more important than BBQ's and beer is long weekends, and thats because the first two things tie in closely with long weekends.

Christ, we dont care about xmas and boxing day as long as they dont fall on the weekend so the long weekend isnt as long as possible. Matt

Statistically,
More sick leave entitlements are expended on Fridays and Mondays in this country than any other day 8O .
At first I thought this was a reflection of our work ethic and something for nothing attitude.
But then I realised the opposite is actually true .
We put so much effort and gusto into our recreation time that it is often impossible to front up on Monday in a fit, refreshed state for work. Indeed, I myself have often wished for the work week to start so that I can recover from the weekend
Long live the Long Weekend

So... Is this why you lot kept the Queen as a head of state? You didn't want to give up a days holiday?

Jeezzzz... You guys are soooo shallow.
