Long weekend- Ace's IV

Hi all, due to me not winning those rangies on ebay, and now having nothing to do on the long weekend I am inviting all you guys to come 4wding.

Jason is coming up early saturday and we are heading into bathurst to get some lunch and go to the motor racing hall of fame. Then we come home mid afternoon. People can join us in the morning for the trip to bathurst or arrive at about 2-3pm and have a relaxing afternoon around the camp fire, and if time permits a short trip into Ben Bullen State Forrest to explore some of the many tracks in there.

Sunday- get an early start- say about 9am and spend the day behind Zig Zag on the the newnes plateau exploring the unlimited amount of tracks up there. Definitely the powerline track and hopefully spanish steps. (from what i can gather the gate isnt locked anymore).

Monday- people can head home early or we could explore some of the pine forrests up the road from my place where we were on the sunday of Ace's III.

I know its short notice but my plans have only just changed allowing me to host the weekend. Please if you are interested come along, all are welcome, and if there are any of the Vic guys who are willing to drive up for the weekend you are definitely more than welcome, the more te merrier. Matt

Being the long weekend, i was wondering if anyone from Victoria would be interested in getting a few guys together to come up. I could give one person the directions so they could lead the convoy up. Matt

I might be able to make that. I'm working 3pm at Katoomba on the Monday but currently off on Saturday and Sunday.

Sorry Ace just checked which W/end it is, I'll be working on the Disco on Saturday to get her running again. Also due to the money I had to spend on her, I won't be financial enough. Sorry mate, but at least this time nothing can come along at the last minute and spoil it for me. Good stuff ron, would be good to have a few, jason is coming down regardless and we dont want to head bush on our own, so what better excuse to have Ace's IV.

I wish I had the $$$, don't get paid until the 15th.........

Working Sat till noon as well. Monthly pay really sucks!

Look forward to some good pics though, I've been out there around the Zig Zag, in the Zook but not the Rangie [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif[/img]

No worries scott, next time hey. Its short notice, I was planning on picking up those rangies if i had won them on ebay, but some bastard out bid me in the last minute. Next time i will give more notice i hope, that all depends on camel landy as the next BBQ will be when he is up from victoria. Matt

i'll be dropping in ace, as you know my main objective for the weekend is mudgee but i''ll be down on sunday arvo if only for a couple of hours.
if you get into trouble in the bush, some of the lroc members will be in that area, try channel 13 or 14 uhf.
Ace, you'd better send me some directions, i don't know where you live.

No worries Barney, if you were coming from lithgow- Instead of going over the overpass to go towards mudgee, go under it. Keep going till you come into the 110 zone, not long after that you will see a left turn which is for busses only, if there are no cops around use that when you get to the end of that do a left hand hair pin turn and come back up towards the overpass on the old highway migh house is the last one. If you dont want to do that keep going, a little further is the proper turn, do the same thing, turn left and then 20m later do another left, head all the way to the end and you are there. Matt
