One-upmanship, if NSW can ping caravan owners for having their number-plates mounted 30mm too high..........................

What's the police have to do with it?
Sounds like it was a speed camera car or fixed position one. Take it up with the state debt recovery office.
And it's quite obviously a mistake, if they uphold it then we can kick up a fuss

Police operate all camera detected offences in Queensland, it was a flash-for-cash.

I can see why you worry Judo, Muppett! A statement like that could worry anybody .

If a speed limit is 100kph, then logic dictates that if you exceed 99.999kph you are no longer under the limit and then you have, by definition, broken the law

Anyone who actually does 100kph or more in this situation (and I'm sure most of us have) is "breaking" the law .

A short course in bush lawyering and logic may be in order ?

The speed limit is the maximum allowable speed, not the speed to stay below.

Speed limits are do not exceed, not do not travel at.
    Bush lawyering and logic indeed.

Add to that, speed cameras have always operated on a system of tolerance, generally ranging from 2-5kmh over the speed limit (used to be 11kmh, supposedly) so even if he was doing your stated 'illegal' speed of 100kmh, then he'd still be within tolerance, thus it's a mistake.
I'd very much like to see a speed camera calibrated to .001 of a Km/h, we wouldn't have a budget deficit if that were the case

    Ian, didn't know that

I always have my radio on the truckies channel [ if not scanning]. They report all flash for cash spots to each other, Bob
