You need two people. One ( You're mate. or Missus because they get the clean job.) You go first to the calliper or slave cylinder furthest from the master cylinder. Friend or missus pumps and holds foot down. You open nipple until flow stops. close nipple. Repeat until bubbles stop. Go to next most distant brake and repeat. If you use a clear plastic tube you can see bubbles more easily. I use a slightly smaller I.D tube and put it in boiling water to soften it up for fit. I never re use brake fluid once it has been exposed to that much atmosphere.

    Back bleed it!

Start with the reservoir low. Use a syringe and tube filled with brake fluid, start at the cylinder/calliper furthest from the master cylinder and push fluid back into the system until all the bubbles come out. Do each cylinder in turn.

Watch that the reservoir doesn't overflow, you'll have to remove fluid several times..

(Sorry for being on track! )

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Me too actually. One of our vegie patches has gone to seed from neglect as I've been away a lot lately or sick. So, I'm going to eliminate it and turn it back to lawn.

more on the brake thing. I took my 2A down to the local Brake Plus and had them do a complete fluid flush and replacement. Got good brakes (for a Series) and new fluid for $49.95 and they cleaned up the mess on their floor and I got coffee in the waiting room.

Well, as some of you know, I've been unhappy with my current job for a few months now. Well, today I can finally announce I have resigned and given my 4 weeks notice from my current job and will be taking up a new one in the next 4 to 6 weeks depending on what they do now. As I'm jumping ship to a competitor I should be put on gardening leave, but HR have yet to let me know what thier decision is.

It was nice that they desperately tried to keep me - my bosses boss flew to Sydney to have a meeting with my bosses bosses boss (who answers to the CEO) to work out what they could do to make me change my mind, but it had nothing to do with pay or anything, so they had a bad day in the end....

    Onwards and upwards.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Its very important to enjoy what you do, although no job is perfect of course. I could make more money elsewhere, but I enjoy the satisfaction of seeing students achieving their goals. No money can buy that.
