Where can I get some documentation to say I have a kid ? Seems yet another Friday and a few off to take care of their kids, so again my potential early mark is gone and have to do two persons worth of work. I don't have or want a kid , but would love the time off granted to these co workers.

You need casuals for those occasions. Failing that, you can borrow mine. The down side is, they will remove your wallet and burn it.
