    AMEN.
I knew a bloke back in the eighties who was a World Champion Thai Kick Boxer. He ran a security company, specialising in door men. He told me that no martial artist could match a good street fighter who was determined to do you a mischief. If you are so worried about self defence perhaps you should look at your self and ask if you might be just a tad too aggressive.
    Cheers, Billy.

That's true... Nothing is going to save you from a stubbie to the back of the head ... or a hidden knife. I really don't get why so many people have so much to prove ... I reckon I could run really fast if I needed too.

BTW: Running away, no matter how easy it is to say "I'd run" I've found isn't an option if you already have a crazy in your face. Turning your back and running simply isn't possible while someone is trying to hurt you. You'll know what I mean if you ever have a "crazy" in your face. The eyes all wide and sparkly, you can see there brain is shutdown and there is no negotiating with them.. Fun times Dunno how the cops do it all the time without losing all confidence in the justice system 'cos the crazies are let straight back out onto the streets when they do manage to stop them.
