There shouldnt be any difference between 3 and 5 door the chassis are identical, and the body dimensions are the same just there are 2 doors missing. Just out of interest as i want some, how much were they? Matt

    rock sliders

Apparantly the design is slightly different to allow for the missing rear door sill area.

    They're $395-

I have those on my 3 dr:

Note that at least in mine the second fixing bolt coincides with one of the vertical webs of a brace and cannot be fixed without drilling a hole in different place in the vertical member on the slider.

    So measure before you fit:

Drill the front hole and then measure back from that hole to the brace and check against the location of the second hole in the slider.

I chose to leave out the second fixing.

KLR Automotive at Kingswood (NSW) also make rock sliders but theirs are from rectangular tube steel - about 100mm x 50mm and they replace the plastic sill strip under a Rangie or Disco. The version for the Defender replaces the aluminium sill strip under the doors - the flimsy bit.

I'll take some pix next time I'm over there.
