Who saw the amazing race last night. This week they took the defenders through a creek crossing that was about wheel deep but a couple of them hit the water hard so it created a bow wave over the bonnet.
Now when they did this they had a shot from inside the car and I reckon about 10litres of water came through the heating vents on the dashboard. This happenned on at least 3 vehicles.
Is this normal!! 8O 8O

I don't normally watch amazing race as the footy show is on, Megs got home from work and started flicking channels, I than watch the race until it was finished. Good to see Defenders being used.
I got the text message from a mate "Defenders on Ch7!" so I flicked over. It was great for about 30 seconds but I did not like to see them being treated improperly. One di**khead rolled one.
yeah i was flicking and laughed so hard when the dickheads went through without shutting the vents... now that was funny!![]()

It was truly amazing. Amazing how badly they could drive. My 6 year old can drive better. I loved their approach to croc infested creek, hit it hard. The fairy couple broke 3 Defenders one with a flat tyre and had to get replacements. Have'nt the Americans heard of changing a tyre. Would be a gret trip through that part of the world. I was Hoping an Elephant or a Rhino would charge at least one of them. When the guys rolled the Defender it amazed me that one team drove straight past. That is not competition it is pure arrogance and that team should have been disqualified as they were not aware of the seriousness of the accident.
Even with the vents closed they still let water in...
Heater is a good source for that.
and how many times did a defender break down? I think it was at least two?
I wouldn't call a flat tyre a break down ....Originally posted by TuffRR

Some people just dont have a clue. I would have thought the show would have made them undergo some training as part of the entry requirements, you can never be to careful these days, the couple could sue the show for not providing adequate training, not that most people would, but i am sure many of them have never driven a 4wd let alone in conditions like that.
