    Cancer

My best friends son(11) has recently been in Westmead hospital.
He had a brain tumor removed 8 days ago and he has just got the report back from St Judes hossie in USA
    Tumor is called medullomyoblastoma.

Hope the little one doesn't suffer too much.

Any form of cancer in anyone is sad , but in someone so young is just terrible. As a parent the one thing you hope is that you never see your children sick and suffering.

I wish your friend , their son and the family all the best and hope that some cure is found.

    Cheers Ean

Particularly difficult when this sort of thing happens to children .

    Hope it works out OK.

With a bit of luck he will be past the worst of it.

I feel your pain and worry.

I have been through something similar, knocks you around alright.

One of my sons has leukaemia, diagnosed when he was 15.

He turns 30 in September this year.

I hate hearing of kids who have cancer. Life is just so unfair sometimes.

I hope that he recovers fully.

I just Googled it and it's rare with short survival periods (not too many years).

I also Googled it. Cancer is such a complex disease. Good luck to your friends son. It is always extremely sad when a child becomes very ill!!!

Everyone is touched by cancer in some way or another(us included) but it's never good when children are involved.

My thoughts go to the family and hopefully things turn out for the better.

I wake up every day and thank my lucky starts that I did just that , wake up .
It makes me wonder why so many innocent kids are so unfortunate to have these things happen to them , when old buggers like me just keep on going ?

Life can be so unfair and mean sometimes !

Been here with other family members of my own .. not good ..
hope it all works out well for the kid ...

as a cancer patient myself, my thoughts and prayers to the family spent a bit of time at the cancer ward at the mater hospital heartbreaking to see children with this insidious disease.
