Who do I complain to is it worth going to the site office? My feeling is they will think the annoying Pom has gone away and carry on as normal.
I have all the cement off the paint but is it off everywhere? So annoying!!

I will have a word with the council but I wont hold my breath.

Won't make any difference Latte, they'll just laugh at you when you've hung up.
At least you didn't have to drive on that dusty concrete residue when it was wet,...a real task to get off.
I've had a few concourse cars in my time,....and invariably when we had to travel a fair distance to get to a show etc, We'd encounter roadworks, such as the water truck dampening the surface, which we would have to drive on immediately after while it was still wet!!
So I know how you feel!

It would be provactative (but then so is their carelessness) but perhaps visibly film what they are doing but then the state of your car after you have passed them.
You can then present that to the Shire. Did you take any photos of your Defender before you cleaned it? it would be worth showing those if you did.
After that (and if they give you no joy) the suggestion to talk to your local member is a good one. You could also after that call the local paper as well. They would love a story like that.
But take each step in turn. Always best to give each level a chance to respond.
Find out who owns the road,ie local government, state government(WA is Main Roads),or Federal gov. Also check who is managing the job,ie the owner or a contractor.
Make sure you have the times/dates you were exposed to the cement dust.Ring the owner and get their name, discuss the problem then put the complaint in writing to them.
GOODLUCK

Andy's advice is right. Do that first before escalating up.
If we are speaking of the same piece of road, just West of Ravenshoe, I must agree that it seems to be a very messy bit of work.
You must admit though that that particular bit of highway was in drastic need of an upgrade & will be a great deal safer & better once they are done.
Also it is nice they have finished the blasting which could hold you up for ages.

Everyone I speak to has had enough of the road works. Is complaining going to help? I am not sure. My new plan is to leave my new Defender home till I go away next week and hopefully the road works will all be over when I get back (shooting in the state team in Brisbane). When I get back I am thinking to put the Defender up on my ramps and crawl under her with a jet wash and a brush and spend a day getting ALL the crud off, then give it 3 coats of wax. I have never washed a car so often pleaaasee let these road works end.
I know I should complain but I know deep down it is going to achieve nothing.
