Thread: Now that's a flag!

O dear........

Seeing that we are a multi-racial country why dont we get flags from all the other countries, cut them into little pieces, take one piece from each and sew them together. Then everyone would be represented.

That would be hundreds of little bits of flag - Logan alone has 206 ethnic groups from memory and there would be lots of others.

Eevo's suggestion is about as good as any other I have seen.
I'm against changing the flag. I think it's far more important to get the house in order before changing the window dressings.

I'm thinking a Green Oval with Australia on it in a certain font .


The simpler the better when the time comes, quite partial to the three colour schemes a lot of European countries have, for example

Green - Ochre - Wattle would address Australia's indigenous heritage and it's future.

I like the current one but, it needs changing to help us set a course for our future. I propose we take the Union Jack and move to slap bang in the middle of the flag.

I'm very inclusive, why wouldn't you be? People of many colours, creed, backgounds built this society and it was built on the foundation of everything that Union Jack has come to mean; western European Judeo-Christian beliefs; Parliamentary democracy; Individual freedom; Separation of Church and State.

It's just a symbol but looking to the future I want for this country the Union Jack in the flag has never been more necessary. Let the world know where we came from and what we believe. Welcome people from all over the globe and tell the The Rules.
