Its not a weapon its a tool just like any other . I've shot in a few large matches around the country for various disciplines and I enjoy a drink but at events like that its still poor form to get that ****ed you can't move your car with out crashing it.
Cant say i have ever heard of anyone getting busted for carrying a concealed tool. Know of people charged with carrying a concealed weapon though.Quote:

I never have been one for carrying a weapon in PNG, ie a pistol or flare gun (nasty) , but one of these cocked and primed has defused many a situation.

A cricket bat is a weapon if you hit someone on the head with it otherwise it is just a tool for a sport. A rifle is a firearm unless you use it as a weapon. My rife is a .308 single shot target rifle, it weighs 8.25kgs and only my loaded ammo will fit in it. I doubt anyone has been murdered with a target rifle, apart it is only single shot it is way too heavy to use as anything but shooting targets. Guns always seem to get a knee jerk reaction from some, but remember many sports stem from combat or war, but now they are just sport. Target rifle is the oldest sport in Australia and actually probably the safest whatever people might think.Quote:

It is FTR .308 target rifle with a bipod and 185 grain projectiles. The comp was at Belmont in Brisbane which is an amazing range, apparently not only the best range in Aus but one of the best in the world. It goes oout to 1,000 yards and the 1,000 at Belmosnt is seriously tricky as we all found out.Quote:
