Yep! that looks like a nice healthy Children's Python,we have one that will come into my shed just before a cold snap or very heavy rain,it's about 6ft (2 mtrs) been around 8-10 years, knocks everything off the bench top,but that is of little worry,we have 8 acres of native scrub next door, so it comes and goes at will, our cats are indoors at night, and our dogs are their individual kennels so all is good.

    cheers

We have 27 acres of bush, rocks & hills around our place.
We constantly have snakes, possums, wallabies, bandicoots & such around the place.
Once had a 2m python on the patio table while SWMBO & I had a wine out there, will turn the light on in future, it just lay there & watched us while we sat there & watched it.

On an amusing note, a couple of nights later I curled up my platted leather belt & put it in SWMBO's side of the bed about half way down.

The bruises only took a couple of weeks to heal.

BTW a lot of folks around our way keep Guanine (spelling?) Fowl which are supposed to keep snakes away.

Tell me, Is it a myth or is it true, that while you have a python around, you are not going to get other snakes around?
Either way, it's a good line to use

We have several which come back to the same place for their winter holidays each year i.e. the ceiling of the granny flat.
I think we have one more this year as the missus saw one only about a metre long going in. Must be one of the offspring.
Makes a rooftop tent look easy to get into, hey?

    Guinea fowl?

Guanine: a compound that occurs in guano and fish scales, and is one of the four constituent bases of nucleic acids. A pure derivative, it is paired with cytosine in double-stranded DNA.

    Guano: bird droppings.
