We didn't have Facebook until our kids moved out now we have more contact than we would if we didn't have it. While I'm not a big user it does have its advantages.
We did a 4wd day out 2 weeks ago that was organized through Facebook and if we weren't on it we wouldn't have known about it as we had only met 1 of the guys once at our local shops and hadn't met any of the others.

Back on topic, I heard this discussed on the wireless and one instance of bad behavior does not constitute bullying.
There has to be a number of events. In this case the befriending was one of many.
