Another for ther Darwinian gene pool

On the news tonight, one of those only in America.

A guy filling his car at the petrol bowser, sees a spider on his fuel flap. Scared of this spider, he takes his cigarette light out and tries to burn the spider.

What do you think happened??? go on have a Guess.
Yep the fuel vapor catches alight the man runs and the Servo attendant has to put out the flames.

Evolution: The human species did evolve into 2 species, the smart ones and the oxygen bandits. The smart ones are slowly becoming extinct as the oxygen bandits breed faster it seems

If only life guards were removed from the gene pool.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

In this age of OHS correctness and the nanny state, im surprised fuel bowsers ave not yet been banned.

    Consider the environment,

Heavy traffic not separated from pedestrians
    Flammable liquids everywhere
Noxious emissions, especially from the VW's
    Cash & holdups
    Cafe take away food

They should all be taped up and only those in modified Defenders with a full flame suit be allowed entry.

Insurance companies. If 500 million successful fill ups occur per incident it shows that most people have grasped the procedure well enough and business can make more profits.

Ah the bygone years when your friendly service station attended , wound back the dial, clicked the lever and proceeded to fill you car for you. They were trained in spider fear and we had no incidents.
Then self serve came in as authorities thought the average person could do it themselves.

When LPG came on the scene, gloves were provided at the LPG bowser, they went, how many casualties have they has since with freeze burns??
At least with LPG, you can freeze dry the spiders
Are there Darwinian statistics on that??

Logic being applied to an OHS scenario
Apparently the general public are more sensible/ bullet proof than mine workers, public servants and the ilk.
