These would be excellent for event's such as Melrose and the Winter Wombat etc.
Even smaller 1 off events like when a heap of us met up at Templestow etc.
Obviously we get to know each other, but still good for anyone who's not sure,,, like me :D,, old age is starting to set in, and I've never been good with names, as is the same with a lot of people.
thats why the word mate was invented....
you just say g'day mate or how ya goin mate.
actually I really try to help out at gatherings by saying to people....do you remember xxxx and yyyy?.....they were here last year....
those badges as laid out, I wouldn't be so interested in because they look too cluttered.
a cleaner layout similar to the top one with the forum/preferred name in the oval and a descriptor/real name/preferred name as the underlining text would be about perfect I'd think.
only need 2 print two names
- your name
- dickhead
anytime you want to talk to someone else you say: oi! dickhead!
I have my Gold Coast LRO badge with both my name and forum name on it:D, as well as a pin type badge with my name :) (so I know who I am :o)
Will bring both to the nosh up :) shirt is a double pocket Kahki dress shirt which is my Gold Coast LRO shirt, made by JB's (www.jbswear.com.au)
Hope that helps
The Department of Railways issued me with not one, but two name badges as part of our new uniform when we changed our name and logo. As fate would have it I seem to have lost both before I even had a chance to remove them from their plastic packaging.
I guess the fact that the department spelled my name wrong (after so many years of my faithful service!) didn't help...
What I am trying to say is that I am not really a name-badge kind of guy. So I voted not interested. But maybe a nice AULRO key ring...???
