    How's This For Luck

    My son was after a second hand roof rack for his P38.
    They are not easily found but he found a ripper at a great price, problem was it is in Tassie.

    With a few online quotes it would have been cheaper to put his P38 on the boat to Tassie, fit the rack and come home.

    The sellers on Gumtree suggested to try a local company near them.
    I rang him today and inquired about getting this to Melb.

    He asked where I lived and when I said near Shepparton (I don't say Tatura as no one in Melb has heard of it, let along Tassie people) he said this is my lucky day.
    He has a load not just going to the mainland, but actually heading Shepparton way this Thursday

    He will stick it on top of the load and if I sling the driver a $100 all will be good.

    He gave me the phone number of the driver to arrange pick up. The driver is not going to Shepparton, which is only 20 km from Tatura, he is actually going through Tatura!

    Could not believe how things can sometimes fall into place. And to top it off the seller had someone else coming tomorrow to look at it.

    And the other end of that sort of luck. Went to the wreckers the other day. Front up to Disco to find another couple of blokes there. One bloke informs me he had just got a air bag compatible bull bar for $90 . I of course was pleased for him....not.
