Yes, it seems agreed they are domesticated wolves, but did the wolves come from Europe or elsewhere? Interesting. The results seem to depend on where the DNA samples were taken from, so if European samples were used the results would naturally favour Europe. What about canines from other parts of the world?
For example, our dingo appears very similar to street dogs seen in Asia.
Seems that domestication has been good for them, considering how many dogs there are and how few wolves are left.
