Have been a member for a few months as preamble to my recent purchase of an MY16 D4 SE. I use my vehicle for work and travel long distances on mix of highway and dirt with some tours of farms involving all types of tracks. My car is my office and thus clarity of the bluetooth phone is important. In fact it was that capability which got the D4 up over the limited options suitable. Have so far done just 4,200k but am most impreesed. I have driven Prados for past 12 years or so at an average of about 35,000km per year with never a breakdown so a big decision for me.

Welcome to the forum and good choice there. I think you will enjoy it better than the Prados. What's with the name - do you come from there. Used to work down that way years ago in my younger days. It was a nice quiet little country town back then....Brian

I knew ( not in the Biblical sense) a young lady from that area in the '70s.

They are a very comfortable and capable vehicle. The ZF 8 speed 3.0v6 combo has been around for about 3 years. The rest has been around since 2009, which built on the D3 which was released in 2005. So it's a pretty well sorted vehicle.

    Just enjoy it.

Worked in that area in the 1960s, but haven't been there for over twenty years, I think.

Looks a lot better than the Prado IMO. 285 people in Wallumbilla! Nice

Nice purchase. I had one for a couple days when my D90 was in for servicing. Was very nice to drive... and quick too!

Don't know Wallumbilla, but I live a couple of km inland from Pelican Waters. Nice Spot!
