    Snake question!!??

I woke up this morning to a scream, my missus was moving the dogs bed and she found a snake in his bed!!! It was weird, only very thin, like a thick shoe lace and I could not work out which was the head end, I could not see any eyes it was horrible. The other odd thing is we found some yellow mucus stuff elsewhere which we assume must be from the dog, but what could it be? If the dog has thrown up there would be his dinner too. If it was from the other end it would smell and it doesnt all just too odd. I have been asked to do a search of the house for others which I have and found nothing. The dog so far seems fine which is a relief, but we are stumped as to what the snake could have been and what the yellow stuff was, any thoughts?
    Time for my coffee now..
I hate snakes especially in the house!!

Pluto was digging yesterday I wonder if he found it and brought it in?
The yellow stuff it seems might be from the snake...

Could be a worm, parasite. Roundworm?

    Any pictures?

There must be a vet here somewhere?

I think James Herriot drove a landrover.

No he has been relocated already. It looked just like the pic, maybe a bit darker. It rained last night for the first time in ages and Pluto went digging. Worms dont usually have a lighter belly, but this has a light creamish underside. It was very shiny, but it has scales for sure.

It was around 20cm , maybe a little longer so I think it was a snake. Glad it was not in my bed!!

I have had these at home before - they are nocturnal and are very sensitive to light. If you shine a torch on them they go mental !!
