That's good. We have handed down a big box of Lego and Duplo to our kids to pass around when their kids need it. Great.

I saw an excellent bit of work on building maths concepts with Lego:

When I was a kid we used Cuisenaire Rods https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuisenaire_rods
at school. We made a lot of towers, I remember that.
Really impressed with the Lego option.
Should I stick to the Classic Space colour scheme, though?

I remember those rods. Did my head in they did. Not knowing that I had issue with numbers did not help.Lego is a great evolution of those rods.

I had the Cuisenaire Rods at School as well - I thought they were good. I used to like chewing on them , which wasn't so good.
The Mrs and the grandkids are all big lego fans so I'll print out the fractions stuff and show them. They'll love it.
cheers,
