    ABC Regional Radio

    This morning we had an announcement that the ABC is making major changes to the local programming (Western Plains) in the new year. This includes forcing out the very popular breakfast presenter after 22 years, and the end of a weekly poem from "Blue the Shearer" after longer than this.

    The changes appear to have been forced from head office with no local consultation.

    Any other areas?

    There was talk of this when they cut their budget again, with a lot of local stuff being cut across the board

    There was a bit of a furore about it recently, most regional stuff cut including news but like most things people forget quickly, too much else going on in their lives until directly affected.
