And it's goodbye from him

Fellas, I'm giving up on this forum. I get very few posts through and then only with great difficulty.

Most attempts end with invalid_session, something that doesn't happen on any other forum I visit even though they use the same software.

It's just too damn frustrating. I've tried all the suggestions in the FAQ but to no avail.

I don't know how many attempts will be needed to post this.

Thats unfortunate Ron, I will miss you, as Hiline said who will correct the spelling?

Make sure you keep in touch, and you are still more than welcome at any of the BBQ's. Matt

Sorry to see you moving on.

Have you looked at updating all your software at your end?
Most of the others here don't seem to have a problem...so its possibly your computer or settings??

I'm answering this from a different computer (Win 98SE) so I don't know how it will go. The main PC I use runs WinXP and that's the one I have most problems with and it is up to date with software. I also attempt to log on from work where Win 2000 is the OS and I have lots of problems there, too.

What I don't understand is why it is only this forum that has the problem. None of the others which also use this software gfive me any problems - ever. I've only ever seen invalid_session on this site.

Not sure, though php Nuke is definately a lot slower than the phpBB version for some reason. I've noticed this on a number of sites. The forum works fine for me, though there are a few bugs in this one, such as last page options not working, and I get the following on the tops of the forum pages.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/home/aulro/public_html/header.php:32) in /usr/home/aulro/public_html/modules/Forums/viewtopic.php on line 600
I dont think it would be your computer but probablly your modem or internet connection or phone line. If you can borrow a lap top try that on your connection and see if it is any better if not it is the line, if it is it is probabbly your modem or maybe even some sort of software conflict or firewall protection.
