    A public holiday, and.....MUD CRABS!!

No 3 son just dropped off a brace of huge muddies, caught by a mutual friend, a young fellow just off contract in a FIFO mine in W.A. He & a mate went out yesterday and caught 32 keepers. It helps that he worked for a few years on a local prawn boat, still can't get the secret spot out of him. Chili crab for dinner!
    Plus one for sangers.

The secret is not to completely take over the natural crab taste, the crab must be the centre of attention. Asians do it so well,. Unfortunately, some Aussies think a curry /chilli dish must be so hot as to totally dominate the taste buds.
An arrangement has been negotiated with my young friend [ his polish grand father was a good mate of mine, back in our fishing club days] , I will provide him with some of my honey, for any surplus crabs, or prawns. He is no mans fool, negotiations are in progress , I expect the horse trading will be intense, lubricated by Dr xxxx
