    What Model is this?

Can anyone tell me what year and model this disco is by the grill?

Bastard stole my number plate and ran up some speeding and toll fines. I've got a 2007 Disco 3, the grill is obviously different, but curious if anyone can pick the exact year and model.

Interestingly, they only took the Front plate. So we assumed it was only lost and not stolen (who steals one plate?) and only reported it as such. Until the fines arrived.... It seems they are smarter than me and know that only the front plate is the only one photographed, or maybe the steal one plate off two different cars, and assume owners will assume it just fell off and take longer to report.

Cannot help you with the ID, but I (incorrectly) thought they snapped the happy pic of the rear because of privacy reasons.

It looks like a 2005-2008 D3 with a rangie sport grille. The parkers are different on a d4 and the arches look like their unpainted black plastic. The indicators have been de-oranged (or whatever it's called).

    Cheers

The lack of orange lights and what appears to be the earlier non D4 DRL type light threw me.
The lower section of the light does appear to be non D4.
Is the car the same colour as yours??? If so the plate was specifically selected for theft.Hope you can get off any charges.

Definitely a D3 with either a D4 or RRS grille centre fitted.

There's at least a couple on this forum who have done it.
    Cheers .........

Thanks all. Now I get why I couldn't quite figure out what model it is.

I think the speeding tickets are all OK to get out of, but the $100 in tolls, the $100 for new plates and the hassle of running around getting new plates, going to the police station etc is the real pain. Think i'm going to screw these ones in with security screws :-)

You should be able to get out of the tolls.
My Honda Jazz was written off, and i surrendered the car to the insurance company without taking the plates as I was assured that they would handle it.

Later I received a toll demand from the M2 operators in Sydney for the day after it was surrendered! They must have snapped the plate on the back of a truck.
Anyway it took a few months and several phone calls but they did waive the tolls. If you have evidence of your reporting the loss of plate it should ensure you get out of it, but it may take a while but worth it for $100 . Mine was only $15 or something but it was the bloody principle.!!
