An interesting question. By 1989 only a small proportion of perentie parts were made in Solihull, and most of these imported parts were obsolete as far as the new Landrover company was concerned - for example the LT95 had not been fitted to new Landrovers except the Perentie for years.
And most of the parts imported for even the last made Perenties would have been actually made before the name change. A good historical example where this is well documented was the manufacture of Landrovers with a large local content by Minerva, early in Landrover history. Having a contract to supply CKD kits for x per year for y years, Rover had these manufactured well ahead of time and stored. When the 86" Landrover was released, Minerva and Rover ended up in court, as Rover was still shipping the 80" kits to them.
