    Baddy Bogged.

    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

When they use a excavator to dig you out, you know your really bogged.

Reminds me of a top gear episode on trying to destroy a toyota.

Used to be hundreds in a year.

    I think about 2002 there were 267 .

I came across a brand new Rodeo on the rocks, and was willing to pull it out.
Bystander said don't bother as it had been there 3 days.
It turned out to be owned by the pub and petrol station owner and had delivery mileage from Brisbane.

It's very seductive to try the rocks on a rising tide when you have to drive back to Freshwater lake and then on the track which is over 25Km.

Funnily enough I was recently telling someone this and he conformed the story that had told to me about it at the time.

As an aside just then at the rocks my rear axle balljoint pulled out of its mounting and I had to drive back to Tewantin with the rear axle of my 77RRC lashed in place with luggage straps.

A tracked machine was working on some boggy ground over here and sank. All that was visible was the roof of the cab and the arm. Driver opened the door (tight squeeze) climbed onto the roof and thus onto somewhat boggy terra firma. The recovery operation was something NASA would have been proud of. Another tracked excavator and numerous tractors were involved. There was lots of "helpful" advice from those who had gathered to witness the proceedings over a couple of days.
