    Back to the OP.
    Around SE Qld,there has been a massive increase in the police presence on the road in marked vehicles,and bikes,in the last couple of months.

    They are even on roads such as the M1 during peak hours.

    I recon this presence has helped with the road toll.

    When I was a young apprentice on the Railways. They would periodically take us into the Canteen to view safety Films. Often they would be unedited road crash investigation Films. That was the single most effective method of making us more careful drivers and quite possibly one of the reasons that I'm alive today.
