Wine is almost as good. A nice, crisp, cool dry white is very refreshing in this weather.

You are talking my language. I am a renal colic expert having had many stones over the years. I wish them on nobody! My second bout of lithotripsy caused severe kidney bruising along with the following.... cracked rib, flickering coloured lights around the edge of my vision. This was caused by the gel in the eyeball being vibrated and took around a year to clear. My pituitary gland at the base of the brain has ceased to function due to being shaken by the treatment. I now take other medication to overcome that. A far as kidney stones go, my worst was when the left tube blocked. I went into surgery and they could not extract them. They sent me home to wait and that night 14 stones passed in an hour. p....a.....i......n!!!!. I now take moduretic to keep my kidneys flushed. I don't want to speak too loudly but I have been free for well over 10 years. Jim
4mm stone passed 8 weeks ago.
Total time in pain was less than 2 hours.
I must be lucky as the type of stones I get are dissolving in the bladder.
